The Gift of Fitness

As most of you know, Christmas is less than a month away.

And even if you don't celebrate Christmas, it's hard not to notice the effect this holiday has on our culture.

But what amazes me about Christmas is how much it has become commercialized and materialized. It's now more about "what can I give or get" rather than "what is it I already have that I can be thankful for".

And the important thing is, every one of us gets a gift, each and every day of the year. The gift of another 24 hours to do whatever it is you want to do.

In my eyes, each and every day I wake up, that's a gift. It's just up to me to decide how to use that gift to its fullest.

I think one of the biggest reasons people do not realize their fullest potential when trying to achieve their fitness goals is this:

They take their eyes of what's really important. They fail to see the "big picture" of what life is really all about.

Life is not just about getting to work on time. Or making dinner for the kids. Or getting laundry done.

Sure, those things are important (believe me, I know hungry kids are NOT happy kids) But what's truly important is how you decide to use your time during the day to realize your fullest potential.

In other words, you've been given a gift. And your ultimate responsibility during each day is to use that 24 hour gift the best way possible. To make yourself happy and to have piece of mind that you're really doing what you need to be doing to get what you want to get.

You know, I happen to overhear so many people talking about the bad in their lives. These folks always seem to seek out and find the negative in everything. I'm sure you know someone like that yourself.

You know, I too used to complain about my legs being sore the day after a tough leg workout. But now I think about the person confined in a wheelchair that would give anything just to be able to feel those sore legs for one day.

And I have friends that seem to always complain about their job. But they fail to give thanks to the fact they have a job, when many unemployed people would do anything to find a job to support their families.

And speaking of families, I'm sure you've heard people say "My husband did this and now I'm mad" or "My wife did that and it really irritated me".

But what about those people that go about their daily lives alone, with no one to talk to or share with. They'd give anything to even have someone in their lives.

So what does this have to do with fitness?

Everything. Whether or not you achieve your fitness goals is up to 2 things:

1. Your attitude 2. Your actions.

Think of it this way. Like I said earlier, each and every day is a gift. It's up to you to use it to its fullest potential. Because whatever it is you want to achieve, you have the same amount of time available to you that everyone else has.

So if others have the same amount of time and are reaching their fitness goals, that just means one thing: They're using that time better than those not achieving what they want.

So whether you want to lose weight or gain muscle, those results start and end with you. You, me, and everyone else receives the same 24 hour gift each and every day. And many people will take action and do something that will lead them to the results they want.

They'll leave work, tired after a long day, and still stop by the gym for their workout. After working out, they'll go home and make up a healthy, nutritious meal instead of indulging in junk food.

Bottom line, they use the gift they've been given.

Right now, you have everything you'll ever need to achieve what it is you want. If you have the drive, motivation, and discipline, there's nothing that can stop you -- except for you.

And are you waiting for the traditional "New Year's Resolutions" time like so many other people do? Don't be like so many others. Many others fail.

Be different to get different results and start today. That way, you'll be so far ahead of those just starting out in January.

You shouldn't have to wait until January 1st to start getting the physique you desire. Think about how much better you'll feel next week if you start now.

And if you're full of motivation but are lacking direction, become informed and educated about what it really takes to get in shape. That way, you can cut out all the trial and error and instead, just do exactly what works.

Ask a friend how they were able to lose weight. Read some books on fitness and nutrition so you can learn what it truly takes to achieve your fitness goals.

But again, it starts with you deciding to use the gift you've been given. The gift that so few people truly use each and every day:

The gift to make this 24 hours the best possible 24 hours you can.

Fat Burning Supplements: Fairy Tale or Fitness Reality?

Finding fat burning supplements that work is easy, but finding ones that do the job without annoying side effects is the challenge. Some people just need a little help when it comes to their body's metabolism, and don't want to deal with any unwanted complications.

Xenodrine is a popular choice, a lot of people using it report higher heart rates, that get them in the mood for working out. Since the whole ephedrine scare, most supplement manufacturers are ripping that ingredient from their fat burning supplements. Xenodrine was one of them, so the current results are more or less mixed. A couple years back, a lot of major fitness authorities published programs on cutting fat without using supplements of any kind, but even they go the extra mile to make it clear that they're not anti-supplements. From time to time, a few natural fat burning supplements to surface that legitimately trim fat levels without any real extra effort on your part.

And now in the contemporary fat burning supplement market, there's so much out there you often have to have a PhD to know the difference between them all. I'm just a nutritionist, and I could actually spout the stats, ingredients, and specs of several compounds to my doctor, and he had no clue what I was talking about. There's hoodia, which is a little more recent, and heavily promoted in the mainstream media. The cactus where the ingredient comes from supposedly has a way of staving off hunger, but nothing has been scientifically evaluated, so be careful. Green tea has steadily been seen as a metabolism booster and one of the better fat burning supplements.

Another is conjugated linoleic acid (more commonly CLA) is naturally occuring in beef and dairy and has been known to target and reduce fat levels for people are active. It's involved in the process of muscle-rebuilding so if you're not exercising that particular supplement won't do much for you. Glutamine is also one of the major fat burning supplements because it helps sustain the muscle levels while you're losing fat.

The thermogenics family of supplements, Xenedrine is included now has a Xenadrine RFA1; this post-ephedrine version has become pretty popular and a lot of hardcore fitness buffs and casual dieters alike regard this as one of the fat burning supplements that really works. The key concept here is that thermogenics work through your central nervous system, similar to how caffeine does.

When you start any sort of fat burning supplements regiment, keep in mind that less is better - at first at least. You don't really know how your body will react to it, so you should be on the safe side. Some can be habit forming, some can give you annoying, embarrassing, or just downright dangerous side effects. So start out following the regular dosing instructions, at a maximum, then you can tweak around with the doses a little. Fat burning supplements like these can really show the most benefit for people who can't (or have a really tough time) getting to where they want to be naturally. A client of mine was the most Alpha Male, hard-driven personality type you could imagine. He spent 3 hours in the gym, 6 days a week, and just couldn't get beyond his plateau until he tried somethuing as simple as creatine. So with an already healthy lifestyle, and active workout program, and a decent diet, you can see all the benefits you need from fat burning supplements.

Fitness - Make It A Family Affair!

If you come down to facts, obesity is like committing a crime against yourself. It not only increases health risks but, obviously, makes one hate oneself every time one stands in front of a mirror. A firm and a fit body is an asset which will stand in good stead now as well as in old age. The hard part is that despite all resolves of regular exercise and keeping away excess and harmful foods, we tend to break them as soon as we make them.

A family fitness routine proves to be of great help to remain determined to exercise and follow good eating habits. Once the entire family, spouse and children, are involved in the program each member monitors each others progress in each segment, exercise as well as the diet everyone takes.

Once an individual resolve becomes a collective resolve of the family the entire scene changes. It takes the shape of a family tradition which may last for the coming generations too. A family fitness regime becomes a support program which might appear as an enforced routine at first, but tends to become a lifestyle with passage of time.

A suitable health plan should include both exercise and diet. If you come to the basic facts, it is the junk food that one gets in to the house is one of the main culprits in spoiling the eating habits of children. If chocolates and chips are easily available within the house the temptation to consume them increases manifold. The best thing would be not to bring them in the house at all. If they are not there to be consumed the temptation too will vanish. It is much better to store fruit and other healthy snacks rather than what will give no nutritional value and only add fat to the paunch.

The next step is to start a workout routine together with the family. The workout should be such that the entire family can undertake with ease. Children and old people find complicated exercises difficult to perform due to age or overall health. Make sure that the workout you choose suits every member of the family and is fairly simple for every one to maintain over a long period.

Choosing a suitable fitness program is easy these days and you do not have to look around too much. As with every thing else these days the World Wide Web is a very convenient and suitable place to find one.

Remember you are not only helping yourself and the family to remain fit and able to meet the challenges of life but also remain healthy and avoid expensive medical treatment. A family fitness program is worth its weight in gold.

Body Fitness - It Is Really Worth The Time And Effort

When a body is fit, it can handle the everyday stresses of life and helps maintain both physical and mental health. A fit body requires proper diet, regular exercise, and habits of moderation. Nutrition involve providing the body with the nutrients it needs to be healthy. To do this, we need to consumer the appropriate foods, vitamins, and minerals.

Being fit also means have good spiritual health. When all the body’s processes function at the peak levels, we say a body is fit. It takes more than simply going to the gym taking occasional walks in the park.

Physical exercise has an important role in keeping the body fit. It is not possible to have a fit body without performing regular physical exercise. While the idea of body fitness generally is thought to involve mostly weight and heart health requirements.

However, we need to think about other organs as well as the heart. They are just as important as that organ. Performing physical exercise every day provides benefits to the entire body. It helps to restore what has been depleted during the course of daily living and ensures that the body is adequately supplied with what it needs to function in a healthy fashion.

We need to educate ourselves about the appropriate things to do to keep our bodies fit over the entirety of our lifetimes. It is not possible to abuse a body for years and then hope that a last-minute effort toward bodily health will correct everything that may be wrong with it. It is not possible to create bodily fitness overnight. Becoming fit takes time and patience, and commitment.

It is important that we pay attention to each part of the body and the body as a whole to maintain proper fitness. Since every part of the body works in conjunction with every other part, it is critical that all parts are healthy and maintained by receiving what they need. The human body is better designed than any machine ever invented, and it is more complex and powerful than any manufactured equipment available.

It is capable of taking large amounts of abuse while continuing to operate fairly well. Even if its daily requirements in regard to nutrition are not met for several days, it can continue to function. When we decided to care for our bodies as they should be taken care of, we then are treating them as the temples of the spirit that they are. They contain our minds and souls, and when bodies are fit, all three of these elements do their jobs well.

Fitness Facilities - For Everyone! Many Americans are obsessed with their health, but the United States remains a country of the obese. Obesity in the

Many Americans are obsessed with their health, but the United States remains a country of the obese. Obesity in the U.S. has taken the form of an epidemic, even though more information and more resources are available to us today than at any time in history. Why is this the case?

There are fitness facilities designed to meet the needs of people of all types and ages. Fitness centers exist for older individuals, young people, males, and females. There are fitness centers that are open 24-hours every day, facilities that provide day care and programs tailored to individual needs. It would appear that Americans would not have problems controlling their weight or improving their overall physical fitness with this wide array of choices.

Many fitness facilities even offer their new clients the chance to obtain an initial physical assessment, personalized training, and continuing consultations free with membership. Mothers with small children can take advantage of fitness centers that provide in-house day care facilities. If an individual feels uncomfortable exercising together with members of the opposite sex, fitness centers offer programs and classes for men only or women only.

Organized and instructor-based toning and heart health programs, such as Pilates and aerobics, are also offered by most health facilities. When joining a fitness center or gym, individuals are usually given a schedule of classes that are taught there and the times of the classes. Once a month, the facility will send out a newsletter and calendar providing updates on information about changes at the facility, classes, and other items of interest.

There is no reason that individuals cannot find a fitness center that suits them. The cost of a fitness program is generally not a problem because many employers provide free gym or fitness center memberships to their employees in order to reduce health insurance expenses and time lost on account of illnesses and injuries.

A healthy employee costs his or her employer about $1000 less every year than an employee who does not participate in a fitness program, according to researchers. If the employer does not offer a fitness plan, the monthly cost of membership in a gym will more than pay for itself in regard to maintaining better overall health. Individual medical bills will decrease, as will over-the-counter health needs, because exercise makes a body more capable or warding off germs.

Gyms and fitness centers nationwide are open every day to help people obtain better health and physical fitness. It is the responsibility of each person to take advantage of what they have to offer.

Why is physical fitness and physical exercise important? Physical fitness is the general state of good health, usually as a result of physical exercise and proper nutrition. Learn from Fitness Failure

Last week, I discussed the concept of looking for a mentor who has successfully accomplished the same type of goal that you desire. Time and time again, a new business becomes successful by emulating other successful businesses. Why not do the same thing when you are trying to lose body fat? It certainly can and should be done.

Well, a coin always has two sides. Now, it is time to look at the other side...and it isn't very pleasant or shiny!

Sometimes, it is valuable and important to learn from failure. Failure shows us what NOT to do. Failure shows us what doesn't work. Specific to weight loss, what if we could learn from others that failed to lose body fat? Thankfully, the National Weight Control Registry's (NWCR), located at www.NWCR.ws, has more than just solutions to weight loss. Interestingly (and quite intelligently), they also make it a point to find out exactly what caused individuals to fail. Think about how valuable it will be, and how much time you will save, if you take the time and energy to avoid the things that have proven to lead not to success...but to failure.

1) If the point hasn't been drive home enough, already, the NWCR also found a common characteristic of those people that FAILED to maintain their weight loss. What was it? Simply stated: the people that failed to maintain weight loss failed to continue their behavioral changes that brought them success in the first place. In other words, they stopped eating right and exercising.

2) Here is even more startling motivation for keeping the weight off permanently. The likelihood that people will regain weight consistently drops as time passes. So, the longer you practice the habits of eating intelligently and exercising properly, the more you reduce the chance that you will ever gain the weight back. This explains why fad diets don't work! The change must become permanent, and "quick" fixes just don't do the trick. Failure tip: it is important to continually developed and nurture your motivation for a lifetime, so that old, unhealthy, fat-producing habits do not eventually destroy you.

3) Sadly, life-endangering medical issues seem to be the best motivator and predictor of successful weight loss. The study clearly showed that people lost weight faster and kept it off for much longer immediately after a major medical scare. Do yourself a favor and think ahead...before your doctor asks you to sit down, so that she can explain that your excess fat is literally killing you.

4) Do you need more motivation to keep the weight off? At the National Weight Control Registry, they also found this disturbing statistic: for those people who had regained some of their lost weight, only 11% returned to their previous lowest weight point in the following year. Let us give you an example. Let's say that a person has successfully gone from 200 pounds down to 150 pounds. However, the person backslides and gains back 30 pounds. Experience shows that only 11 out of 100 people will be able to drop the weight back down to 150 pounds over the next year. Keep in mind that these are people that had already successfully lost weight and knew exactly what to do to lose the weight they had re-gained. Don't you agree that more than 11% should have been more than able to return to their previous baseline weight. They had the knowledge. They had the experience. They knew what worked for their body. Sadly, though, logic does not always lead to success.

We can summarize all of these "failure points" pretty easily, can't we? In essence, people failed because they failed to continue with the habits that created the initial success.

Perhaps, though, you haven't yet experienced successful weight loss. Don't let that be an obstacle for you. Use this article to motivate you to make a serious commitment...a lifelong one...so that you develop a true change in your lifestyle. You learned in our last article that there are thousands of people who have proven that long-term lifestyle changes create true fat loss success. You learned this week that working on fat loss with a short-term view in mind is not nearly as successful, and instead, often leads directly to failure. So, decide now to develop the habits that are necessary to transform your body into one that you are proud of.

Revolutionary Fitness through Vibration Exercise

There are numerous fitness products that are available in the market from which consumers can readily purchase for their fitness needs. The media offers varied ads about fitness programs and machines that provide benefits to the body. Different fitness machines have different features but the only goal is to build and strengthen the body. While this may be the only goal, research and development in the fitness industry did not stop searching for the more advance and beneficial fitness programs and machines for the modern lifestyle. There are more revolutions made in the fitness industry as more programs and machines are discovered, superseding the previous programs.

One of the revolutionary fitness programs practiced in recent years is vibration exercise. The vibration exercise results to vibration fitness in different levels or effects depending on the type of machines used. Vibration exercise has become popular in the modern times as it has been discovered to yield much benefit to the body. It can be used for therapy, fitness, and training. Most fitness experts use vibration exercise for their clients.

Vibration exercise does not necessarily use a program for vibration fitness. Instead, vibration exercises use machines or equipments that cause the vibration. With a touch of the button, a vibration is made that enables the body muscles to contract in reflex actions. Vibration exercise can be done in some parts of the body or the whole body depending on the machine used. For smaller vibration machines, only a few parts of the muscles in the body can be vibrated thus requiring the person in vibration fitness to shift the machine to other parts of the body. There are also bigger vibration machines that include vibration to the whole body. The point for vibration exercise is to aid the contraction of muscles in the body without strenuously doing a physical work that enables the contraction. It̢۪s the job of the machine to do the work of contracting muscles in vibration fitness.

One of the vibration machines introduced in the market for vibration exercise is the VibraSlim. VibraSLim is a vibration exercise machine that involves vibration to the whole body which gives a favorable result to vibration fitness. With VirbaSlim, the contract reflexes from the muscles are not limited to one area only. Thus you can use the machine in only 10 minutes a day and the result would be whole body fitness. Vibration fitness from VibraSlim is made possible in few weeks time though it will only require 10 minutes a day.

There are many benefits for vibration exercise with VibraSlim. It includes, but are not limited to: excess fats are burned, increase in human growth hormone, lowers cellulite, strengthen muscles, enhances blood circulation, increases bone density, raise energy levels by speeding up metabolism, decreases muscle pains, decreases blood pressure, and improves sense of balance. With simply standing up in the platform, make button arrangement with the level of frequency, and ON button, you will get the needed vibration exercise with VibraSLim for that needed vibration fitness.

One of the revolutionary fitness programs practiced in recent years is vibration exercise . Vibration exercise does not necessarily use a program for vibration fitness .

Can Fitness Boot Camps Really Help Your Fitness Business?

The Bottom Line on Boot CampsBy Georgette Pann The fastest way to attract new clients and collect plenty of profits for your fitness business is with a new program. But what? You don't want to put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into a fast-dying fad or a program that attracts a limited target market because your profits will dry up quickly. Your solution: Fitness boot camps. Boot camps appeal to a large range of people because just about anyone can do the exercises. And they escape the women-only stigma of aerobics and the men-only stigma of weight lifting. Influenced by traditional military boot camps, these fitness programs are so popular because they work- when they're done right-and because of their social element. Boot camp participants enjoy the camaraderie of exercising in a group. And much like peer pressure keeps soldiers moving in military boot camp, peer encouragement - and developing friendships - keep people moving in fitness boot camp. Plus, more experienced participants often help newcomers, which provides an element of support that the trainer alone cannot give. Here are other major ways that fitness boot camps benefit you and your clients. Fitness Boot Camp Benefits for YouIf you don't offer a boot camp as part of your fitness business, you're missing out on serious dollars. Fiscally speaking, boot camps are a no-brainer. Compared with aerobics, weight lifting, Spinning, treadmill workouts or in-home training, boot camps are a virtual money mill. Here's why: They are an efficient use of your time. As the trainer, you typically handle large groups of people at once. Class sizes range from 20 to more than 50 people, so you can afford to charge less per person, which means a greater potential for plenty of people to sign up. Look at it this way: If you were to charge $10 per person for each session, and you had an average class size of 20 people, you'd collect $200 for a one-hour session. It's hard to charge that much for a one-on-one training session! Boot camps help you make money, but they also save you money because there are no overhead costs. You could hold your program in parks, school gymnasiums, parking lots, parking garages, or any place you can fit your class; you don't need a studio or facility. You can arrange for a typical boot camp location for little or no money. If you're planning to use a public park for a group boot camp, be sure to make any necessary reservations with park officials.Of course, if you already have a studio or facility, boot camp classes will make that space especially cost-effective. The fact that you don't need a lot of equipment to run a boot camp means you reduce your expenses even further. Bodyweight exercises, such as pushups and sit-ups, form the core of most boot camp programs. Even if you decide to include dumbbells or resistance bands, you can pass that expense onto clients as a one-time fee. Or, you could have your business logo and contact info imprinted on the equipment to further promote your business and write it off at tax time. Boot Camp Benefits for Clients There are two main aspects that keep clients coming back to boot camp programs time after time: these programs are effective and fun. Let's tackle the effectiveness part first. As you know, the key to weight loss, which is what the majority of boot campers are looking for, is burning calories. Boot camps cram a lot of exercise and calorie-burning into a short time. Clients don't have to fool around with working out for 90 minutes to 2 hours every day. Forty-five minutes, boot-camp-style, is enough. Plus, participants benefit from higher metabolism for the rest of the day, which means they burn more calories for longer. And unlike many Nautilus and weight lifting programs that isolate only a few muscles, boot camp movements - such as pushups, pull-ups, jumping jacks and running - recruit many muscles in every exercise. So, instead of doing 3 sets on every machine in the gym, boot camp participants get the job done much more efficiently. Besides their effectiveness, boot camps appeal to people because of the fun and social factors. Sure, Denise Austin or Jake Steinfeld videos are motivating-but video workouts are very impersonal, and the motivation often lasts only for the first week or so. With a boot camp, participants get personal motivation from their trainer that is fresh and new every session. Boot camp trainers can also correct exercise form and postures for clients to keep them safe and get the most from the exercises. A video can't do that. The bottom line is that boot camps make your bottom line look better. They are an efficient and profitable way to attract more clients and deliver effective fitness to more people. Adding a fitness boot camp to your programming reinforces your image as an effective, affordable fitness professional. The Reverse Aging and Fitness Revolution

There's nothing new about how Stress, Career, Poor Diet, and Environmental Factors are taxing our internal systems to the point that our biological clocks are revealing premature symptoms of advanced aging. Debilitating health issues and rising costs are no doubt leveraged on that fact alone. The Nutritional, Pharmaceutical, Alternative and Homeopathic industries have well within their right endeavored to respond to this challenge by dissecting the causes and throwing a bunch of Pills, Potions and mineral herb "fountains of youth" at the problem to see what would stick.

There are so many choices out there that by the time you address a few issues it's costing you an arm and a leg (sometimes literally). Ok, let's consider the "but or what If" for a moment. Consider if you were 35 and were told by your doctor that if you didn't change your diet, lose weight, and change your habits, that you would not see your 40th birthday, what would you do? Such was the case of Jon Benson, author and publisher of "Fit Over 40". Obviously this was a wake up call for him, yet it launched him on a mission to reverse his life threatening condition. Needless to say, Jon's desperation and determination to find answers catapulted him in front of 52` 40-80yr. old ageless living role models. Many which were obese, diseased and drug abused. They revealed to him their secrets on how they overcame aging and disease and with their permission Jon took the combined knowledge of the 52 and applied the principles of "Customizing" and "Modeling" that he learned from athletic and life coaches to create his own "Master Mind Model" that even had his mentors awe inspired. Within 12 months, he had totally reversed the damage he had done to his body and literally slashed at least 10-15 years off his biological age. One of his doctors didn't even recognize him.

Jon's story as well as these remarkable 40 and over ageless models are highlighted on the SECOND page of his website http://www.anti-agedandslimmer.com/. Jon also claims, "If you would like to discover the fastest and easiest way to lose weight and REVERSE the aging process in your body, then this will be the most important message you ever read in your life" He says that men and women of 30 years and older can enjoy: A thin lean waistline ~ Impressive muscularity ~ Higher levels of naturally-released growth hormone and testosterone ~ Remarkable energy and stamina ~ Increased mental alertness ~ A stronger heart ~ A powerful immune system ~ A better sex life ~ More ZEST for life! And much, much more.

Getting Physical Fitness is NOT time consuming

Time is a very precious commodity, once it has gone it cannot be reclaimed, got back or reversed! The busy professional, by definition is "busy". So making time to do a workout or even your sports specific training is often an after thought.

You are busy with work commitments, busy doing "busy stuff" that takes up huge proportions of your time, you have a busy social life associated to your work life, networking is key to your career progression and professional standing.

This problem affects corporate athletes of all levels. If you are an aspiring Olympic athlete but NEED a career as well working to supplement your sport. Or, you are a weekend golfer, rugby or soccer player who happens to be a Director, VP or CEO of a multinational company, the restrictions on your time are the same.

If only you had more time to train, your game could be that little bit better, taking you to club, regional or national championship level!

The ultimate cost of this is lost opportunities to fully enjoy your sport. It will leave you with too many "if-only" and "what-if" questions later in life.

Also the opportunity for social and professional networking is lost too. This means missed business or promotion opportunities, because you don't play golf, or the rest of the management team play for the local soccer or rugby team, and you don't.

The time required to train for sports is not as intensive as you may imagine. Workouts that are effective to lose weight and get you back into some kind of physical fitness also don't require a huge investment in time.

You'll be happy to learn that workouts need not take hours out of your day. In fact 20-40 minute workouts can see you excelling at your chosen sport, far beyond your current levels. Plus you can lose the excess on the waistline too.

Gone are the days of ineffective, slow, bring cardio workouts requiring you to spend hours on the treadmill, or pounding the pavement early each morning, or late every night.

Workouts can be much more focussed, getting you further towards your health and fitness goals can be done in a fraction of the time, leaving "Time" to be a POOR excuse rather than a legitimate reason for not training.

If I were to tell you that 20-25 of cardio workouts was "enough" to make substantial improvements in body shape and highly effective for sports conditioning, would you feel that this was within the realms of possibility in your time restricted life?

Short, sharp but effective high intensity interval workouts can produce some startling results in a matter of weeks. Marco, a senior partner for a multinational accountancy firm, found the 25 minute interval routines fitted neatly into his morning routine. Sacrificing only a few minutes less in bed of a morning. The outcome was much more energy and effectiveness at the office and a pant size less in less than 28 days.

The big caveat to this is with most busy professionals, you need to sacrifice a portion of your day to fit this type of workout in, however this is less of an ask than an hour long run that you would usually think of doing.

Start today, get your running shoes on, or get to the local gym and jump on your favourite cardio machine and hammer out an interval routine today.

Facts behind weight loss and fitness.

The world of weight loss and fitness is certainly vast, and the American consumer can absolutely get lost in the thousands of easy effortless and costly useless ads if not careful. With my books and research I want to clear the air about the various myths and false statements regarding our health and fitness that have clearly muddied the waters for many Americans.

What I want to stress in particular is that there is no magic answer, potion, or diet pill that is going to make everything better. The ad on TV where the pretty lady says "it's easy. you'll love it", is appealing to our need for instant gratification with no effort. We don't want to hear the facts so we continue to look for the instant solution. If there was a magic diet pill, or diet plan, over 60% of Americans wouldn't be overweight, in spite of spending over $35 billion annually on diet products.

Achieving weight loss and fitness requires a commitment on your part to strive for a healthier you. What you will get in return for all of your hard work and dedication is a fit body, a renewed clarity of mind, better quality sleep, and perhaps even a pronounced increase in your libido. I have found that through the positive changes I have made in my own life regarding weight loss and fitness, all areas of my life are exponentially better. I wake up energized, I feel excited about my day and my interactions with people, my body feels strong and capable, and my entire outlook on life has improved significantly.

The Weight Loss and Fitness Commitment show that claims that teach you shortcuts on how to drop 30 pounds in 30 days are improbable at best and unhealthy at worst.

That claim is water loss pure and simple. You do the math: 1 pound of fat = about 3500 calories 30 pounds of fat = 105,000 calories. To lose 30 pounds of fat in 30 days you would need to reduce caloric intake by about 105,000 calories or about 3500 per day. If you are eating 3,000 calories a day now, that might be tough. OK you say I'll exercise it off. 1 hour on a stationary bicycle running at an average over 20 miles an hour burns about 400 calories. Meaning to burn 3,500 calories a day on the bike, you'd need to ride it for about 9 hours.

If you are looking for a quick fix, you will continue to be frustrated about health and fitness.

However, if you are tired of feeling fatigued and know for sure that you are ready to make a solid commitment to your own health and mind, Living to Be Younger can act as a guide. It is my hope that you will read each page with an open mind and a willingness to make some changes that will enable you to break out of your rut.

First, lose the idea that there is a magic diet pill or supplement that will transform your body to a svelte shape. Losing weight requires that you expend more calories than you ingest--plain and simple. This means that you must get up and moving at least three to five days per week, for at least 30 minutes each session. If you were considerably overweight, it would be ideal to aim for at least five workout sessions per week. Always consult with your physician before embarking on any new exercise plan. Second, take a good look at what you are putting in your mouth on a daily basis. Aim for natural foods that are high in vitamins and minerals, fiber, protein, and complex carbohydrates. Limit your intake of foods high in saturated fats, sodium, refined sugars, and preservatives. When you take the Living to Be Younger Challenge, you will find that your zest for life isn't gone--it's just been hiding. Congratulations on taking this first step towards a healthier you.
